When it comes to physical exertion, it is very important not to overdo it, because this is one of those cases where "more does not mean better."

High-intensity daily workouts lasting more than an hour do more harm than good and can lead to shorter lifespan, say scientists from the Kansas City Central American Heart Institute and advise limiting the duration of vigorous workouts to 30-50 minutes per day.

This is especially true for people who regularly engage in high-intensity or vigorous training. It is, first of all, about marathon runners and triathletes, who may mistakenly believe that longer and more intense trainings are better for overall health. But, as practice shows, the opposite is true: extreme training negatively affects the state of the cardiovascular system.

Recommended by scientists 20-30 minutes of mild or moderate training - this is what brings the maximum benefit to heart health. Of course, this does not mean that marathon runners and lovers of other high-intensity sports are in danger. But such training should not be carried away, and even less so every day.

The main conclusion is to limit the duration of vigorous training to 30-50 minutes per day. If a person really wants to run a marathon or a full triathlon, it is better to do this one or several times, and then move on to a safer and healthier training model.

Regular moderate physical activity will add more years to your life. Conversely, running too long over long distances, besides over the years, can accelerate the movement to the finish line of life.
